This position has overall responsibility for development of the sales team members as well as direct responsibility for managing some Large Retail Accounts.
More precisely, your principal responsibilities will be the following:
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills through managing a team of Sales Representatives for Eastern Canada.
- Build strong rapport with major big box retail accounts and industrial channels through superior customer service and communication.
- Proactively develop all team members by teaching selling skills and coaching each member to realize their full potential.
- Develop territory sales campaigns to accommodate goals of the company and develop short and long term goals and objectives for the territory.
- Develop and execute marketing plans and programs to ensure profit, growth and expansion of company products.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year BS/BA Degree in Business Management or Related Field
- Must have experience working in the hardware industry selling through Retail, Home Centres and Industrial distribution channels
- 7-10 years experience in sales
- 3-5 years experience leading a team in sales
- Strong communicator with the ability to build strong and long term relationships
- Ability to plan, organize and strategize sales and marketing plans
- Experience with managing Large Retail accounts
- Strong Leadership and a hands on individual who enjoys seeing the success of their Representatives
- Someone who has shown success in their territory showing double digit growth consecutively
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
The offer:
Salary: 80-90k plus bonus.
