In order to achieve the responsibilities of the position ideally you will be InfoComm CTS certified, have both video and telephone conference certifications in our primary lines; have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical design capacity that includes extensive knowledge of audio, video and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements, and 2 years plus experience with AutoCAD.

A small software consulting business has a part-time on-going contract position available to develop PHP-based websites for our customer. A strong Linux/MySQL/PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript background is required. The work involves both the development of new modules, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of existing modules.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a work-from-home job, paid by the hour. Almost all communication will be via email. Initially the job is part time (15-25 hours per week), but it might be extended into full time if desired and if there are sufficient projects that match your skill level. As long as you get the job done, we don't care which hours per day or which days per week you work.

SKILLS: We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environment. THE CUSTOMER: The customer has a clinical-research website, aimed at people who research new drugs for a living, exhorting them to behave ethically toward their test subjects. Much of the software helps the customer run their conferences, where such folks gather together to get continuing-education credits for trading notes about how to do research while obeying laws and avoiding hurting people.

DEVELOPMENT MODEL: We use a rapid/iterative development model, as requirements are frequently changed after the customer sees a prototype.
