Big Truck TV is a leading B2B online media company focused on the North American Trucking and Logistics industry. Our media platform consists of video content and blogs from industry experts. We are in need of a content manager to take charge of our content development. This will mean taking charge for the holistic and proactive management of our bloggers, working with management to develop and execute on content strategies, managing the video production process while working closely with internal and external resources.

The ideal candidate is a tech savvy Web Content Manager who will develop best practices for maintaining the company's website, corporate channel page platform and soon to be launched desktop apps and mobile solution. You are an evangelist for online media and you fully appreciate the impact video will have on the Web. You want to play an influential role in shaping a growing company that has it's sights set on dominating B2B online media.

Main Responsibilities:


• Conceptualize content, developing storyboards, working with editing and graphics, sourcing images and data, and liaising with experts and fleets to complete videos.
• Writing content for special commercial operations and advertorials.
• Coordinating and managing freelancers.
• Managing bloggers and ensuring a minimum of one blog per month is submitted, proofing and posting blogs.
• Managing third party content partners.
• Managing the editorial animation of the site (teasers, polls, in house ads, newsletter sign ups, content promotions, etc.).
• Monitoring and moderating the community (blogs, video comments and questions, corporate channel pages, etc.) to ensure that rules of engagement and community guidelines are followed.
• Program and distribute HTML eNewsletters and alerts.
• Demonstrated ability to support and enhance promotions and content with the capacity to extend the experience online.
• Work closely with content partners to ensure marketing promotions & events are supported online in an effective and timely manner.
• Responsibility for managing the social networking and representing our brand in social media with the assigned agency.

Requirements & Experience:

• Proven experience in content management, preferably with sites that incorporate both communities and content.
• A degree in journalism or related field and experience in writing and producing video in an electronic publishing environment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in a clear and concise manner.
• Superior interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent social media skills including blogging, Facebook and Twitter account management.
• Team player.
• Strong SEO knowledge, Google Adwords, Meta tagging to optimize content for search.
• Basic background in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Self-motivation and strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quickly shifting priorities.
• Proactive work ethic and can establish priorities and schedules to meet department goals with the belief that working hard but smart gets one ahead in life.
• Strong eye for managing details.
• Insatiable curiosity and strong desire to learn.
• Positive attitude is a must.
