EPCM WORLD is the first Social Networking website for Engineering, Procurement, & Construction Management Professionals - and anybody working in Heavy Industry projects. We aim to provide relevant industry news and a fourm for open networking and discussion about anything and everything related to Mining Operations, Engineering & Design and Major Construction - in Canada and around the globe.
We are looking for experienced freelance journalists to submit organic content for our news section.
Successful candidates will be compensated $50 for up to one 200-300 word article per week, AFTER their first submission. If we like you, you will be asked to submit every week!
QUALIFICATIONS: You will be either a student in engineering/geoscience/mining/construction related program, a recent graduate of same, or a journalist/writer with works previously published on similar subject matter. Successful candidates will possess excellent writing skills, solid ethics, and a keen interest in the heavy Engineering & Construction industry.
YOUR PITCH: We are looking for fresh angles and quotes on the following areas: Cost-inflation of Gold & other mined metals; International mining projects; Status of supply/demand of Iron Ore; Mining/ Infrastructure developments in Quebec ; Environmental/Safety issues in Canada; New technologies in environmental engineering, mineral processing, mining, etc.; Spotlight on up&coming junior mining companies in Canada/Internationally; Spotlight on engineering/construction program(s) in Canadian schools; etc. (We're always looking for new relevant ideas!) You will be responsible to find your own leads for quotes & story.
