Description:

Our client, located in the GTA, has an amazing full time opportunity for a junior/intermediate Writer with management experience to become the managing editor of their online publication. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with superb copy editing and communication skills. He/she will also possess sound decision-making, negotiating and problem-solving skills and have a working knowledge of SEO writing.

Requirements:

• Writing several articles per month
• Managing a team of contributors
• Researching article topics and generating marketing ideas
• Developing the editorial component of the client's websites

Qualifications:

• A post-secondary education in Journalism
• 2-3 years experience in writing/editing professionally
• Solid management experience, either at university (e.g. with your university paper/newsletter) or in the workplace
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Goldmine are an asset
