The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and has both a gas stove and a wood stove. The kitchen opens on to a screened-in porch

The upper master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with large claw foot tub. A second bathroom with shower is located on the main floor with a sauna. The upper bedroom in the addition has three single beds and balcony; the lower bedroom has a double bed that can make into two single beds. The living room has a foldout double bed and a wood stove. There is satellite tv.

Out buildings heated by wood stoves include a Studio/Games Room with a pool table and air hockey game and a workshop building with a pool table.

The property is perfect for hiking, snowshoeing (four pairs available), nature viewing (deer, turkey, moose, wolf, fox, fisher) or hunting. A public beach is just 10 km away on Lake Kasshabog. Two golf courses are close by. The beautiful conservation area called The Gut is just a short drive or brisk walk down the road. Many fishing lakes are located in all directions.

The nearest full-service town (LLBO, grocery store, arena, fitness, library, doctor, churches) is Apsley 15 km away. Nearest hospitals are in Bancroft and Campbellford, 45 minute drive.

The dinning area has a view of the water and walkout to the large deck with a 3 burner stainless steel BBQ and patio furniture overlooking the water and the fire pit down by the docks. The living room with pine plank flooring has a romantic natural stone wood burning fire place as well as a TV, DVD, and satellite. This floor has a cozy screened in knotty pine porch with a view of the water.

The rental includes a canoe which can be used for a relaxing trip north to Silver and Shadow lake, there is approximately 15 miles of connected water ways to explore which is great for power boating, sailing, canoeing, and excellent fishing; or you can travel south a couple of miles to the town of Coboconk - the home of the smallest jail - which has small boat and sea-doo rental available, as well as a large Foodland, a bakery, a pharmacy, a medical center, a beer store, an LCBO, gift shops, movie rental outlets, and a restaurant. Close to town you will find go-karts, mini putt, a golf course, hiking trails, and horseback riding. Casino Rama is also just a 40 min drive west to Orillia. The area is well known for its excellent fishing of bass, pickerel, muskie, and pike. There is a sandy beach area down by the dock which is great for young children and deeper water for adults.

There is a large parking area which can park approximately 6 vehicles. The cottage rents for $1750.00 per week for the large family or more than one family together.

Harris Lake Hideaway is bungalow in the heart of the Muskokas, only 2 hours north, and all highway driving. It can sleep 12 comfortably: 8 adults and 4 kids, and is dog friendly.
(Sorry we are all allergic to cats!)

There are 3 bedrooms (one is small and meant for just kids) and two extra double beds in the main living room, and a cot stored in one of the bedrooms. The Master has a king and the second bedroom has a double and a bunk above (cot underneath). There are 4 tv's and dvd players. There's an xbox, laundry on site, newer appliances and decor and lovely gardens all around. Cell range is great, but I don't supply wifi or satellite TV, just DVD players with the TV's. You might connect with a local router.
