This is for a video project being done in conjunction with a Toronto hospital. We are looking for participants to be interviewed about their experience with cancer and are hoping to include a diverse selection of individuals, from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, between the ages of 17 and 65 (approx.).
Our goal is to interview approx. 30 people (in English or French) who have had cancer or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. A website is going to be created that will feature these interviews with the hope that it will be a resource for individuals who have been newly diagnosed with cancer and want to hear from other people who have been through a similar experience (rather than just hearing from the experts). We think that the website will be especially helpful for people who live in rural communities and might not have access to the various support groups that are more readily available in urban areas.
