synopsis

Two best-friend want nothing more than to enjoy their senior
years with a modicum of comfort, dignity and peace…
They just hadn’t planned on breaking the law in order to do it!
After leaving her lifeless marriage of 46 years, Twyla is taken in by her best
friend Gracie. Twyla’s two self-absorbed daughters are furious with their mother. They
threaten to do whatever is necessary to reunite their parents – whether Twyla likes it
or not.
Gracie has her own set of problems. The shock of her late husband’s death was
surpassed only by the revelation that he had secretly gambled away their life savings. If
that wasn’t bad enough, Gracie is informed that he also borrowed thousands from a
local thug whom he never repaid. Pressed by her husband’s unsympathetic and
unscrupulous creditor, Gracie has to find a way of coming up with the cash or risk
losing her home – or worse. She fears that involving her son Scotty, a put upon,
stressed-out police officer, will only put him in danger.
With her back firmly against the wall, Gracie has no option but to consider the
unthinkable. Aided by Twyla, the two septuagenarians are forced to take matters into
their own hands. And in the process of reigning in their offspring, challenging the mob
and planning a bank heist, the elderly pair discovers a joie de vivre that has eluded them
all these years.
