Nortel Engineer
We are currently seeking a Nortel certified Telecommunications Engineer to join a leading provider of telecommunications solutions and services in Bermuda.
Primary duties will include:
Engineering, installing and supporting Enterprise solutions in Bermuda
Manage projects involving Enterprise CPE and VoIP solutions
Ensure that solutions are maintained and that any necessary repairs are carried out in accordance with guidelines
Developing and supporting SLA's for new and existing customers
Provide in-house field support and technical advice to the Sales team
Prepare Project Management plans/schedules and Visio drawings to support customer requirements and related projects
Conduct diagnostic tests and liaise with local and International Carriers and customer's technical representatives as required
Act as a mentor to more junior staff, providing technical guidance and training
Requirements include:
Degree in Business Administration or Telecommunications Engineering
Nortel certified such as NCSS, NCDE, NCSE, NCDS along with Nortel IP Product(s) experience
NCA certification would be advantageous
Other relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, ACA or MCSE would be a strong asset
Knowledge of voice applications (such as NGN Hosted Solutions, Legacy Systems, Centrex, DID, DLH)
Knowledge of data and network applications and protocols (such as TCP/IP, ISDN, Frame Relay, SIP)
Knowledge of Cisco routers, Gateways, IP routing, LAN and WAN technologies
This unique career opportunity involves relocating to Bermuda for an initial term of 2-3 years (renewable subject to work permit approval). Due to the international move required, candidates should be highly portable and adaptable, with outside interests that lend themselves to this idyllic living environment.
