Position: Senior Systems Center or Desktop Deployment Architect

Location: General Toronto Area

Job Description:
The candidate for this position will have a solid and proven track record in technology consulting. Experience and knowledge of complex, heterogeneous systems is required. Securing, migrating and implementing based on Microsoft platforms is the focus. This position requires a highly motivated, confident and ambitious individual. In addition to technical skills, it is expected that the candidate will also possess excellent customer-facing consulting skills. This includes preparing and presenting technical content to a non-technical audience.

Our client will look to the candidate to be prepared to discuss and be tested on their proficiency in the following competencies:

Microsoft Based Technology –Thorough knowledge of Active Directory plus deep knowledge in 2 or more of the following technologies:

Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007 R2)
System Center Operations Manager (SCOM 2007 R2)
Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT2008 or 2010)
Microsoft App-V 4.5 and Med-V

Experience with implementing Microsoft programs such as DDPS and ACF is also a string asset. The consultant should have extensive experience with assessment, planning and deployment of VISTA/Windows 7 and Office 2007 using the above mentioned technologies as well as experience using tools like ACT and MAP as part of the planning process. The consultant should also have solid technical scripting knowledge to compliment the above technologies.

Personal Organization – Excellence at time management; maximize efficiency in client contact; meet deadlines, commitments, and project requirements. Have a firm understanding of the nature of the consulting role itself.

Communications – Develop and present complex proposals; interact with both technical and executive level customer contacts; prepare and conduct formal group presentations.

Education – Industry certifications: MCITP, CISSP, MCT. Completion of the following Microsoft exams is also an asset: MS 70-401, 70-400, 70-635, 70-656 and 70-680. Certification to deliver Microsoft’s ACF and DDPS Programs is a plus.

Salary– Will be negotiated based on experience and subject matter knowledge of applicants being considered for the consulting role.
