Job Description:

The Business Payment Systems Support team falls under the Technology Infrastructure and Support Services team and provides 2nd level business application support to production, disaster recovery and quality assurance environments of several internal business units within Client's Solutions.
Project Details:


Client's is moving the existing production environment to a new location and also setting up a new environment for the Disaster Recovery system. This environment is running on a Weblogic and Windows platform and the new resource will be helping to move the Windows operating system to a Linux environment and will also help with Weblogic installation/configuration/ FTP file transfer process and setting up the HP monitoring tool on these systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide application support for Quality Assurance / Production / Disaster Recovery
environments running on Linux operating systems.

Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for support of applications. Identify root cause and defining actions to eliminate recurrence.

Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and
recommends solutions.

Liaise with Application Developers, Architects, Infrastructure/network and Project
Managers to define implementation requirements

Troubleshoot, report and advise on any critical issues and escalate internally or externally to achieve
desired results

Proficient with the configuration of HP BAC Service Level Availability

Monitoring systems and pro-actively resolving issues

Develop and maintain system and support documentation

Perform routine application support in a 24 by 7 on-call production support
Required Qualifications:

University degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Excellent knowledge of Java application servers, preferably BEA Weblogic products
including WebLogic Server v 8.1, WebLogic Portal v 9, WebLogic Integration 8.1

Experience with SQL Server 2005

Excellent knowledge of Redhat Linux OS

Experience with the installation, configuration, administration of HP BAC, version 8 and
HP SiteScope version 8

Good knowledge of scripting tools for automation, monitoring and tuning

Experience in EMC Documentum Content Management and ILOG JRules would be an
asset
Must-Have Attributes:

Excellent problem determination and resolution skills

Strong organizational, interpersonal, motivational and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The team currently consists of 11 members, including System and Application Support
Analysts and Specialists
