The eMessaging team is part of the Engineering group and is responsible for eMail, OCS, Journaling, Notes Data Bases, and Blackberry Enterprise Server. The primary role of the group is to work on project related initiatives, driven either by technology or business groups. The role also includes design work, and providing 3rd level support.

Responsibilities:
„h Ownership of support documentation and process development.
„h Third level support to operations team.
„h Technical contact for projects and implementations.
„h Add new functionality to new or existing systems.
„h Technical design.
„h Certification of software updates.
„h Implementation Management.
„h Research of new technologies for project submissions.
„h Assist operations group when required with 3rd level support.
„h Technical leadership responsibilities.
Job Description:
„h Research functionality of new software versions.
„h Design and create reporting scripts for Engineering and Operations groups
„h Test and certify software, service packs and maintenance releases
„h Perform functional upgrades, including software revisions and major service pack releases
„h Test, certify and document upgrade procedures for Operations teams
„h Create handover release, and how-to documentation
„h Create project proposals and approach papers, including estimated hardware, software and resourcing costs.
„h Architect solutions as per business requirements.
„h Merger site assessments and standards roll in.
„h Take ownership of escalated support calls and engage vendors as required.
„h Work with other technologies groups as required.
„h Cross train other members of your group.
Education/Accreditations:
„h 3 or more years of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2003, Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Windows 2003 Server experience in the areas of systems engineering, design and operations for large scale deployments
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
„h Strong experience with Exchange technologies, architectures and principles such as Exchange topology and routing, Front-end/Back-end architectures, messaging client access methods and protocols, messaging security, Exchange interoperability with Active Directory and BES.
„h Strong experience with Office Communications Server technologies, architectures and principles such as OCS topology and instant-messaging routing, Front-end/Back-end/Edge architectures, instant-messaging client access methods and protocols, OCS interoperability with Exchange, Active Directory, BES and external public IM networks as well as compliance/security specific technologies(Symantec Enterprise Vault, Face Time IMAuditor).
„h Extensive knowledge of client/server architectures and demonstrated ability to analyze, design and architect complex IT systems.
„h Experience leading engineering projects, and initiatives with two or more other individuals.
„h Strong communication, documentation, and problem solving skills.
