We're both 24 and while we're no longer in school, we're both seriously into our work. To best contribute to the lovely atmosphere we've built for ourselves, you should be mature and emotionally stable haha We're both very laid back, although we know how to have a good time :) We do drink occasionally and do have friends over from time to time, and we'd prefer to live with another roommate who is 420 friendly - again, 420 friendly on occassions - not every day, all the time - and we expect the same from other people. This apartment is our home, so while we do know how to have fun, this is by no means a "party" place, and we'd prefer someone with the same mindset. If you're afraid of cleaning, or paying for things in the apartment that are of common use (e.g., toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, etc.) you need not apply. Tessa and I both have boyfriends that occasionally visit and while male visitors are cool, it should be understood that this would be YOUR place, as well as ours, and if you have a boyfriend that will be here 24/7, again, you need not apply.
The room available is a regular 'ole room (see pictures below) with your own closet and window! Yay! The apartment is on Dufferin between King & Queen which is a pretty awesome location; the Dufferin bus is right outside the building and you have the option of taking either the King or Queen streetcar into or out of downtown. In the area, there are 3 grocery stores (one of them being a 24-hour Metro!) as well as McDonalds, Quiznos, Subway and a Hasty Market - all right at the corner of King & Dufferin.
The rent is approximately $460 which includes rent, utilities, Rogers cable and Bell highspeed (wireless) internet. Laundry is onsite and parking is available at an extra cost ($50/spot). There is also central heat and central air conditioning, controllable in the apartment, which is pretty awesome! The apartment is fully furnished - couches, TV, kitchen table, etc (see pics), so the only furnishings you will need to bring are whatever you want to fill your room with - currently the room comes with a mattress; however, if you'd like to bring your own bed, that's not a problem.
Also, to mention -- We have 2 cats which means, while you do not have to pet the cats, adore the cats or care for the cats, you should be cat friendly. Unfortunately, these two furry friends are enough for us and if you have another pet, your best bet is to try another place. As well, Tessa and I do smoke, and we DO smoke in the apartment, so if this is a problem, this is probably not the place for you!
