HDS Retail North America operates more than 300 stores located in some of the largest airports and the best hotels, resorts, malls and office buildings on the continent. Our retail brand names include Relay, Virgin, Watermark Books, Eastern Lobby Shops, UCS, Canadian Scene, Front Page, Xpress, Great Canadian Book and others.
Currently, we have two openings for Replenishment Planners, in our Head Office located in downtown Toronto reporting directly to the Replenishment Manager.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Daily ordering of store and warehouse items;
Research and investigate out of stocks and implement corrective action;
Update and correct replenishment tool settings;
Responsible for developing, reviewing, updating and adjusting profiles for the seasonality of replenishable items;
Create and Maintain Item/Store/Vendor Groups and assortments;
Responsible for improving in-stock at store and warehouse level;
Analyze reports daily to identify issues that impact in-stock/inventory;
Communicate stock availability issues to operations and merchandise group;
Identify and resolve Aged Inventory in stores and DCs and recommend corrective action to the merchandising group;
Responsible for new item set-up & forecast entry into the replenishment system;
Stock balancing within distribution centers;
Conduct correction of errors (COE) on past strategies and log COE;
Establish and monitor lead times for vendor delivery;
Monitor vendor compliance;
Research and investigate warehouse and store out of stocks and implement corrective action;
Identify vendors and categories with low in-stock and work in cooperation with Category Managers / Vendors;
Generating & analyzing forecasts;
Reduce freight costs by monitoring EOQs
Requirements
Possess a BA or BS in math, business, operations research, supply chain, information technology, or other related field and 2-3 years of related experience, or at least 4 years of related experience in Inventory/Supply Chain Management
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Posses an understanding of the Supply Chain process
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skill MS Word, Excel, E-Mail
Experience with replenishment tools and applications preferred
