As a key member of the Resource Protection Department, you will assist and support in the planning and carrying out of critical administrative functions to both the RP Department and the Roots team.
Responsibilities
Maintaining all established databases and records (incidents, inventory, etc…)
Maintain department e-mail and provide direction/feedback to all stores
Arranging all duties relating to facilities and store security (i.e. alarm updates, coordinating, fire inspections etc…)
Assist in report set-up and auditing of Exception Based Reporting software.
Assist with arrangements, planning, and preparation of events and event personnel
Prepare investigation case files and any documents necessary for the proper investigation of any criminal activity or breach of procedure detected.
Co-ordinate and ensure timely ordering of security services and goods for store construction
On-call 24/7, responding to Resource Protection emergency telephone calls
Skills & Attributes:
Must display a high sense of confidentiality.
Strong analytical skills required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft business applications required (i.e. Word, Excel).
Strong organization and follow up skills required.
Detail oriented and strong ability to multi-task required
Previous experience in cash operations is preferred
Knowledge of Loss Prevention principals and a background in retail an asset.
Initiative and ability to recognize opportunities; proactive approach
Good communication skills; verbal, written and listening skills.
Some travel may be required
