We're a serious band looking for a technically proficient bassist around our age bracket (18-24, we're all 21). Our music is VERY complex. We have a strong focus on composition and arrangement so we put a lot of effort into making organic and interesting material. We need someone who is very open-minded to different genres, in and and outside of metal. Also, the way we write requires an understanding of Guitarpro and midi. We compose through that way to manifest more complicated ideas outside our range so that we are continually aiming to tread new ground.

-It would be awesome if you played a 5-string for more tonal options, but it's not a must.
-A basic understanding of music theory is also a must.
-You don't have to have pro equipment persay, so long as you aspire to save up for some in the near future.
-We have to stress that we're looking for someone musical. We want a bassist that can compose and ADD elements to our music as oppose to just sitting on and playing what we've created for them. We need someone capable of collaborating, who has their own ideas to bring to ours.

-Between the Buried and Me, SikTh, The Faceless, Misery Signals, Into the Moat, Protest the Hero, Opeth, Necrophagist, Cynic, Blotted Science, Scale the Summit... (We also incorporate every other genre under the sun.)
This band is a collective project, so every member has equal say and influence. Right now, we consist of two guitarists, a drummer and are seeking a bassist and vocalist (singer/screamer). We also have midi demos of our songs to offer, but nothing recorded as of yet. To sum it up, we are very down to earth and we just want someone who has the same progressive mindset, passion for music and technical ability that we do! We eventually want to tour and do this professionally. So please only dedicated and serious musicians!
