Music/Talent Booking Agency Seeks Intern
The Pilot Agency is a boutique talent-booking agency representing national and international artists that specializes in talent buying, event design, immigration/taxation, artist management and publicity. TPA has emerged as a forward-thinking agency that sees the changing face of the music industry not as a challenge but as an opportunity. Pilot’s booking roster runs the gamut from rock stalwarts such as Gilby Clarke & Mr. Big, rock luminaries such as Lukas Rossi (Rock Star: Supernova), pop songstress Elise Estrada and emerging newcomers such as Fall & Divide and Artisan Kane. TPA also has a burgeoning talent buying division that handles a number of high-profile venues, festivals and corporations on an exclusive basis. The Pilot Agency is seeking a part time intern based in Toronto to assist with database management, daily business and client relations.
This entails:
• Dealing with clients and promoters.
• Obtaining ticket counts and final show data.
• Maintaining database and records.
• Scheduling meetings, and welcoming clients to the TPA office.
• Office admin duties: Fax Documents, Write Contracts and offers, Taking messages, e-mails and phone calls.
The applicant must possess:
• Extremely high work ethic and level of professionalism.
• An enthusiastic attitude and ability to multi-task many high priority projects in a high-stress environment.
• Have a high-level of English written/oral skills. (Bilingual is a plus)
• Be familiar with the music industry, and/or have a touring background.
• Proactive spirit, who can solve problems quickly.
• Familiarity MAC OS, Filemaker Pro, Quark, and Photoshop preferred.
Having a Mac computer and a blackberry would be a huge benefit to this position.
This position will initially be a part-time internship with the potential to develop into a paid position.
