Excellent opportunity within our downtown Fashion Retail client for a Computerized Pattern Maker.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Interprets design sketches to create new patterns on the Lectra System computer.
Liaises with Designer, Garment Technician and Sample Makers in order to execute design changes on the computer.
Participates in fittings as required.
Grades patterns according to company standards, design and proportion to produce accurate, complete patterns for sample making and production.
Develops and maintains design style sheets and records.
Contributes to ongoing development and maintenance of pattern-making standards and blocks.
Provides assistance and guidance to sample sewers and production personnel.
Completes other tasks and assignments as required by management and complies with the organizations policies ad procedures.
Qualifications:
Must have equivalent of a post-secondary diploma/degree in a fashion-related discipline combined with 2-3 years related work experience preferably a computerized pattern making environment
Thorough knowledge of Lectra, MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required
Excellent communication skills are essential as well as a strong sense of urgency.
