Studio Manager/Designer
Our company is looking for a Studio Manager/Designer to become part of our creative team. We are a manufacturing company that sells home decor product to the retail and hospitality market. A fast paced and service oriented company, we provide innovative products and solutions to large accounts with a focus on fine art reproductions.
Are you a highly creative designer with excellent organizational skills? We're looking for a visionary who will raise our standards to new heights in a collaborative creative environment. Under the guidance of the Art Director, the candidate will direct all art related projects from the creative studio. The qualified candidate should have strong Photoshop skills, a sophisticated visual sense, great attention to detail and the ability to shape a project from conception to completion. This individual excels at working both independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Art Director in sourcing home décor trends, colour stories, art sourcing and artist development
- Responsible for the smooth running of the creative studio as a whole (both technically and logistically) as well as resource management
- Work closely with members of the Creative team to ensure projects are are completed and schedules are met
- Have a good understanding of competitor activity, latest trends, including latest technology and best practice
- Oversee pre-press and print production process
Skills/Experience:
Exceptional aesthetic taste with working experience in an art or interior design environment is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge on MACs using Adobe Creative Suite 3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
- A Design Diploma in a recognized Graphic Design or Industrial Design program is a must.
- Strong artistic aptitude. Ability to come up with concept and design execution that engages, attracts, communicates and sells.
- Deadline oriented, Attention to Detail, Excellent Communicator, works well in a Fast Paced, High Demand environment
