Hi, I wish to introduce myself; I'm Anna Harris, the propriator of SkyWord Learning Inc.
I would like to tell you a bit more about myself and my company.
SkyWord Learning designs educational services to optimize your child's strengths toward releasing potential in their ability to relate and reason.
I can help your child grow from individualized learning experiences using research-based interventions to promote indiviudal strengths.
Who am I and what can I do for your child?
As an adopted child, I grew up with various challenges which caused me great frustration and angst; no matter how much I persevered, I frequently fell short of the mark. My perseverance, finally allowed me to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree, and recently a Masters degree in education, specializing in the primary levels.
During my early adult hood, I was reacquainted with my biological mother and brother, and much to my surprise I learned that my brother was autistic. This learning, and witnessing what he had been going through, in addition to my own challenges made me realize that my brother and I had both struggled and did the best we could with what we had.....however at a time, and not so long ago...when knowledge we have now about various disabilities simply did not exist.
Several years ago, while working with developmentally challenged students, I realized that more services were recquired for young children with special learning needs. I have experienced some of the frustrations autistic children face through my own challenges; I have witnessed a family member struggle with autism- And for these reasons I developed my company
