Position Title: MS Access Application Developer
Project: Revenue Operations Access Developer
Start Date: Nov 16th, 2009
Anticipated Duration: 22 Weeks with possible of extension
Rates: 53 to 58 dollars an hour
Project Description:
This solution is a stop gap solution to be utilized until the Fare Media Management Project solution is implemented in 2008.
- Fare Media Destruction Database (FMDC), this solution was developed to track the destruction of Fare Media in Revenue Operations.
- Security incidents Database
Both of the above solutions have been developed
• MS Access 2002 with VBA and ADO
• Microsoft Visual Interdev
• ASP (HTML, VBSCRIPT Javascript)
• COM/DCOM
• Oracle 8i/9i
• Microsoft Internet Information Server
• Microsoft Internet Explorer.
• Reporting Tools (e.g.Cognos ReportNet)
• Microsoft Windows XP
• Microsoft Win 2003 server
Duties and Scope of Work
Development
1.Develop, document and unit test enhancements to the existing IRES and FMDC applications utilizing Access VBA
2. Develop and document enhancements to the existing database structure as required
3. Develop, unit test and document new MS Access Reports and MS Excel as requested.
4. Develop, unit test and document the New Security Incident Database (SID) untilizing Access VBA
4. Various duties as assigned.
Special Skills & Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years programing in Microsoft Access utilizing VBA for MS Access with ADO
2. Experience integrating MS Access with MS Excel for reporting purposes.
3. Experience developing interfaces to import and export flat file data from MS Access
4. Knowledge of relational database design principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Must be able to work in a fast–paced team environment.
6. Ability to “hit the ground running”.
7. Experience developing applications for Financial Systems particularly Inventory management systems.
8. Minimimum 5 years development experience.
9. Microsoft MCSD utilizing ASP and VB would be an asset
10. TTC experience is an asset
Deliverables:
1 Enhancements to the existing IRES application utilizing Access VBA
2. Enhancements to the existing FMDC application utilizing Access VBA
3. Enhancements to the existing database structure as required.
4. Design, development, implementation and documentation of the Security Incident Database (SID)
4. Reports Developed in MS Access and MS Excel as requested.
5. Complete documentation for prograrm enhancements, report enhancements and database enhancements.
6. Various duties as assigned
