Server and Housekeeper
Seeking a diligent, focused, and skilled individual to perform serving and housekeeping duties at a private residence in downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and serving beverages and meals to residents and friends of the household;
• Typical household cleaning and tidying, plus care of silverware, wood and other fine finishes; and occasionally,
• Shopping for groceries or running other errands (car/license not required).
Qualifications will ideally include:
• Previous experience in the duties listed above
• A demonstrated aptitude in the preparation of a variety of gourment meals
• Knowledge of the serving techniques of wine, fine spirits and other beverages
• Knowledge of caring for silver, wood antiques and other fine finishes
• The ability to anticipate needs and follow instructions well, but also the judgement to make the right decisions independently
• Having a positive demeanor, being enthusiastic, and presentable
• Fluency, or near fluency, in English is preferred, but not necessary and will be weighed in the balance of other skills
The schedule will be approximately five days weekly, plus the occasional Friday or Saturday evening, for a total of approximately 20-30 hours weekly.
