Arts Coordinator
Should have a background in
* theatre, the arts and working with at-risk youth
* theatrical events – stage management, and/or tech.
*highly organized
*ability to train/teach youth
*able to supervise groups of 10 – 70
*some knowledge of computer arts software programmes i.e garage band, other music programmes, photoshop, imovie, iphoto, website or games development would be an asset,
* knowledge of basic theatrical lighting, sound and tech requirements would be an asset
Main Duties:
• source, coordinate and book arts workshops leaders
• coordinate and supervise all arts workshops and community arts projects, and ensures that their dates, times and locations are posted on the website
• provide support to youth participants in the workshops, the retreat, and also during ‘studio’ sessions with arts equipment in the project space.
• provide support for the talent shows, helps with set-up/execution/take-down and provide stage management and production management and/or technical services.
• supervise arts products being uploaded to the website, and the organization of any additional arts events (e.g. gallery shows).
• set-up and installation of the creative ‘studio’ terminals in the project space and will be available to provide maintenance where necessary.
