A good book to generally familiarize yourself with some common drugs, without too much overwhelming or detailed information. This book is perfect for that. It's quite a big book with lots and lots of different drug profiles, including common brand names of that drug and some very very general info about what it does, how it works, side effects, etc. It has an index of different categories of diseases and ailments that you can use to search for a specific drug, or you can search by the brand name to find the actual drug (ie searching for Tylenol takes you to Acetamenophin and so on...). Otherwise you can simply flip through the drugs alphabetically.
