“Where are you from?” has more than one reasonable answer.
- You’ve said that you’re from foreign country X, and (if you live in America) your audience has asked you which US state X is in.
- You flew before you could walk.
- You speak two languages, but can’t spell in either.
- You feel odd being in the ethnic majority.
- You have three passports.
- You have a passport but no driver’s license.
- You go into culture shock upon returning to your “home” country.- Your life story uses the phrase “Then we moved to…” three (or four, or five…) times.
- You wince when people mispronounce foreign words.
- You don’t know whether to write the date as day/month/year, month/day/year, or some variation thereof.

If you could answer more than one of those questions we want you !

Toronto has become the ’hot spot’ for this global subculture known as Third Culture Kids (TCKs), www.tckworld.com. For many of these TCKs, this website is the only opportunity to discover that there is an explanation for their restlessness and confusion. For many it is also the only place where they feel they belong and are understood.

We are putting together a documentary behind Third Culture Kids (TCK) - a never ending dilemma facing adults who spend their formative years growing up in different parts of the world and who carry their many identities with them wherever they go. As they grow older, they begin to realize that they have many ’homes’, some of them half-remembered and some of them half-imagined. Not a one place to hang their hat on. Their sense of belonging pulls them toward many places and nowhere at the same time and often creates confusion, frustration and depression.

We are looking for interesting males with interesting stories who have lived in more than 2 people as well as in Canada who truly feel like TCKs. We want to hear your story!
