I'm taking a photography class and have an idea for a photo essay that I'm hoping someone out there might be interested in doing! Plus points if you are familiar with Edward Hopper's work, if not a quick google will get you the info.
I'm thinking of doing sets of images, of people holding up an enlargement of a Hopper painting (not the nudes for this exercise!) and of the people I want to photograph, mimicking the figures in the painting...how they're seated, basic environment painting is set in, etc. If not a replica (because I unfortunately don't have a hundred hours to do this) then something that captures the mood of the work will do...just throwing out an idea and if anyone's interested gimme a shout. Thanks!
