When this all night party took place Pink Floyd had just returned from their first tour of the USA. They were currently working as an opening act on Jimi Hendrix's tour of the UK. Their appearance this night happened after they had already played two shows with Hendrix in Sheffield. Pink Floyd's set included "Scream Thy Last Scream", "Astronomy Domine", "Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun" and "Interstellar Overdrive". Strangely they refused to play their two hits of the time; "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play". As this all-nighter lasted over 11 hours, Floyd didn't perform until dawn.
