Currently I am casting for an independent, non-union short film to be shot in Toronto in January.
The film will be shot on the Red Camera, with a small (10 person) crew.

The film, VALSE, is a surreal, supernatural, psychological/dark fantasy/horror film influenced (at least visually) by films such as Hellraiser 1and 2, Silent Hill and The Shining.

It is important to note that while this is absolutely *not* within the genre that has come to be known as "Torture Porn" (i.e. Saw, Hostel),
it is a disturbing (well, hopefully) and dark film that pushes envelopes in many different directions. This is not family friendly and probably not a film
that well show well to "mom", unless your mom has very, VERY odd tastes in film. That being said, this will not be shock without meaning. There is a clear
theme.

Professionalism on set will be assured, and a screenplay will be sent electronically immediately if both we & you are interested. The director
has won several awards for short films in the past and screened in several Canadian and International Film Festivals.

The gig consists of; promo work for your shows, choreography/dancing at various venues, rehearsing 2-3 times/week.

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST be over the age of 18

MUST have minimum 2 years experience in one or more of the following styles: Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Cultural

MUST be in good physical condition.

MUST be willing to travel.

AVAILABILITY:
The dancers chosen for our team will be required to do a small amount of promotion and photo shoots in Toronto in December/January.

The concept for this group was first founded in 2008 at the request of the panel handling the Toronto Independent Music Awards, and has the room to grow to include more than just two front persons in the future. For now, however, we want to establish the group as not only a name in the industry, but with the use of guerilla marketing, we want to garnish fans across the country that will come to know Vintage Railway as a fun, wholesome, talented group made up of at least one female and one male singer/songwriter. The type of music can be negotiated to some degree once the group is finalized, however to start, there will be the strong encouragement to play songs that the audience will enjoy first and foremost, followed by an equally strong encouragement to incorporate original material that the duo will write together as time goes on.

Ringleader Productions will be managing and booking this group actively in all 2010 summer festivals, venues across Toronto as well as the rest of Ontario, with the aim to grow and tour not only the province but all of Canada. Recordings will be done almost immediately after the right male vocalist is found, with those recordings being added to the website and Facebook fan page that have already been created for Vintage Railway, photo shoots will be scheduled very soon after as well, and a street team will be put together in order to help the fans themselves to assist the future success of this group by spreading the word more actively than ever before.
