It breaks my heart to write this - but it is time for Bella and Lune to venture out into the world. They are bonded kittens who need to nuzzle together forever.

These two kittens have been raised in a wonderful caring environment since day one with their mother. They are extremely well socialized, love people, other cats and are litter-trained and use a scratching post. They are weaned and are eight weeks old and in excellent health.

Bella: she is the kitten with the pink ball. She loves to cuddle, run, will gaze into your eyes and loves her food (also Lune!)
Lune: he is independent, fiesty, will follow you around and loves to tackle Bella.

i have a *gorgeous* loving, well-behaved, and sooper-snuggly 6 year old female ebony cat whom i very sadly cannot keep anymore ... her name is MLK (martin luther king), but everyone endearingly calls her "mLkee" ... mLkee is all black, save for a sprinkling of random white hairs that sporadically dust her belly ... her eyes are greenish-yellow and she is physically very small despite her age ... she looks like an overgrown kitty ...

briefly, this is mLkee's story:

mLkee was part of a litter born in my landladies' chicken barn in the okanagan valley, bc in spring of 2003 ... one of my landladies wanted to keep the kittens, so i helped her collect them ... mLkee was the 1st kitten captured because she was so meek, shy, and timid ... as soon as mLkee was placed in my arms, she became attached to me and i to her ... she curled up under my chin every night, licked my face in the morning to wake me up, and meowed in joyful conversation all day ... she came with me everywhere i went, perched on my shoulder or happily snuggled in my arms ... when i wasn't carrying her, she followed me like a little puppy ...

she has travelled all across canada with me -- by car and by plane -- and she has always been extremely (and impressively) well-behaved ... everyone who has ever met her has come to love her because she is so affectionate and playful ... her habits and mannerisms are extremely humourous and adorable ... she loves to play with running water, runs circles around a room or an entire apartment when she's really happy to see you, and she perks up with excitement when you say, "mLkee, do you want tuna?" ... actually, simply saying the word "tuna" will get mLkee's attention instantly ...

last year, i brought mLkee to live with my younger sister b/c i moved into an apartment where i cant have pets ... recently, my sister asked me to take mLkee back and unfortunately, i cannot ... i live in a small room, and it would be unfair of me to bring her here ... there is hardly room enough for me ... mLkee loves to live outdoors, and it would be ideal if she could have access to some open space ... she is also well-adapted to living indoors, as we have lived in numerous apartments together ...

mLkee tends to get deeply and affectionately attached to 1 person, her caregiver, albeit she does remain friendly and playful with everyone else ... she has an incredibly acute sense of a person's feelings, and she has been a great comfort and best friend to me every time i've been sad or crying ... she's a peace-maker, an entertainer, a sweetheart, a child, a conversationalist, a playmate, and a best friend ... she means the WORLD to me and i want to make sure she is well taken care of ...

Help Your opinion please....Bad dog or bad owner?

I live in an area with a lot of dogs, we all control them all quite well, even the more aggressive breeds.
All except one, this one happens to be an uncut cane corso, almost 1.5 years. So aggressive, tearing at the leash, dragging its 6foot+ owner down the street,. I'm afraid this dog will get to 3-4 years with no discipline whatsoever. Im terrified. I have tried to give this owner some advice time and time again, Letting my big dog off the leash so this dog and owner can learn some things, offered to come on walks. Opened my doggie daycare up to them for socialization and training. I cant feel safe if men cant hold on to their aggressive uncontrollable dogs in the street. And I cant walk aroung with a shotgun! . Im at a loss. I love this breed and would love to own and handle one properly , but with a doggie daycare I can not have those breeds here. I offered these things in fear of another big dog going down the perverbeal drain, and of the owner or someone else being hurt again. Last time I saw the man and his dog, he was almost crying because his 140 lb Italian fighting dog/ his baby had bitten him trying to get to another dog as he was restraining it . He told me he didn't understand his dogs aggression because "he was his baby". Millie up the road just had some puppies if you want a dog like that.
I don't know what to do, He walked past my house/ doggie daycare this morning, and it was me and my rottie and husband outside, lucky no clients. As the corso stretched the leash to the limit coming up my porch dragging his dad, I was happy to see them ,showing his owner once again that the fear and expectation that he was having was making his dogs behavior worse. Positively coming forward with my rottie because They Have Played Well Once Before and I know this could be a great dog ( with a little work and a neuter hopefully). He wouldn't stop pulling on his leash , so I let my dog come up, get chewed on a little in the back( the owner was scared, Big dog owners know how they play and sound, If there is no blood, its ok. No malicious growling, just really wanting to play aggressive...) , But no Blood, Its A Good DOG!, Just the owner and breed combo is scary. This man is so nervous and his dog is feeding on it Its horrible. This dog will be a menace if he does not get some help, I do not want to call the humane society but , Ive owned so many large aggressive dogs, I don't see this one being OK , once he turns 4. If his owner will not train him, Like hell will I live in an area and run a business , with this dog dragging him around, did I mention that the owner was a 6foot+ tall man. It is terrifying to see him drag this big strong guy around. My husband ordered me and our dog into the back yard but I was afraid to walk in front because he can not restrain his corso, and when he does, it bites him. When I called across the street to my husband , He Cant Control It honey Im gonna Wait Till Hes gone From the Side Walk, The Man actually called out something about it not being his fault. I am 130 lbs have had a rottie and a pit bull cross rottie for near 10 years and never have I been pulled down the street , bitten , or have they bitten anyone. Never. You would need a gun to protect you from this mans dog if it ever got loose. Even a bat wouldn't help you here.
I believe its a good dog, just needs some alpha training. Please help him if you know them , or give me some advice, In the country we shoot wild animals that threaten our herd, what do we do here?

Some advice for the woman who wants to adopt 2 cats from the Durham animal shelter but is low on funds, why not consider fostering first?? You are still saving lives, paying for food and litter but no adoption fee or medical bills. You save 2 lives that of the cat you foster and room for the one that takes their place at the shelter. Toronto Cat Rescue always needs foster homes, why not contact them?

I wanted to update anyone who may have read my earlier post about Choco, my friend�s 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier. I want to thank those who replied, with names of vets and foundations that may be able to help, your responses, though few, were very much appreciated. I want to especially thank the vet, who put the life and well being of this dog ahead of being paid immediately, and also to �Mr. K� whose generosity is greatly appreciated.

To those who didn�t see my previous post, my friend has a three year old Yorkie, who swallowed a super ball that the children were playing with. My friend is disabled and is suffering from financial difficulties and had no money for care. After many calls to vets, SPCA, Humane Society, my friend discovered that nobody was willing to help unless he surrendered the dog to them. If he did this, he wouldn�t be allowed the right so see him again, or even know if he lived or died. Long story short, he decided not to surrender the dog and made web sites and a Youtube video hoping to raise funds to save Choco�s life.

I received a phone call from my friend this afternoon telling me that Choco would be having his surgery. The ball didn�t make it past his stomach, and the poisons have traveled through his body. He is on antibiotics and will be having his surgery soon to remove the ball from his stomach. Although he isn�t out of the woods yet, he now has a chance of survival.

There is a difference between an "adoption" and "sale" in the pet industry. On Craig's List, sales are not permitted.

So what's the difference?

Well, if you are rehoming a pet, or rescuing a pet and looking for a new home, and are charging a nominal fee for the animal to recoup some losses to continue your rescue efforts, or to ensure a responsible home, that is understandable.

If you are charging a reasonable price for the sale of an animal, likely a baby, that is also reasonable, but not for this site.

If you are selling an animal, and have an ad up on Kajiji saying "for sale" but have the SAME animal on CL and call your price an "adoption fee" than you are just a jerk. Seriously. Stop it. It is clearly a sale. If you have bearded dragons for the market price, and have about a dozen newborn babies, than you are obviously selling them. (nice ad on kajiji btw) If you are coming on here claiming to have "rare" spiny mice, and charging 75$ for them, you are not only selling, you are scamming. Take it to another site.

If you want to post in this site, please follow the rules, they arent hard.

No one wants your crappy mix mutt, unregistered stud service. The short story is this: I am hoping to find a safe, loving foster situation for my wonderful dog, Daisy Mae, for AT THE MOST six months. It is an emergency situation and I would need someone to take her by tomorrow, Monday November 23rd 2009, or Tuesday at the very latest.
I had to move to Toronto quickly a month ago and wasn't able to find a home that would allow dogs in the time I had to find a place. She has been living with a close friend of mine in Ottawa, but is now in heat, and my friend is also living with two unfixed males. She obviously needs to get out of there.

By April at the very latest, I will have found somewhere to live that will take dogs, and at that point, I will take her back. I am willing to do a lot of the caretaking, (as well as assisting financially) as she is my dog and I love her very much and miss her A LOT, but until I get my financial situation under control, I can't move, or house her myself. She is a very sweet, sensitive dog who's been through a rough transitional time in the last few months and needs someone loving and understanding to be her guardian.

Her details: German Shepherd/Lab mix. 4.5 years old. Not fixed (in a heat now, will last 2 more weeks). Loves to be right by your side. Needs to be very active. Gets along well with other species of animals, children, and dogs.

(Hopefully) You: someone who knows a lot about dogs and has a big heart and just enough space to take her in temporarily. Living in the Toronto area.
