The first day will be an introduction to the basics of photography. We will cover things such as the basic camera skills needed for landscape photography. By the end of the day you will know how to use your camera effectively by understanding exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, white balance etc. We will also take a look at different lenses and their uses, and essential accessories such as filters and tripods. As well as the technical basics we will discuss the importance of the artistic side to photography and look at composition and lighting.
The second day will consist of an introduction to Adobe Photoshop and digital post-processing. All digital photographs require some optimization in the digital darkroom and Photoshop is the industry standard for professionals. You will learn the basic techniques required to really make the most of your digital images.
Participants may bring their own laptop for taking notes or for following along in the Photoshop lessons but it is not required. (However if you don't bring one I do recommend a pen and paper for note-taking). I will be giving demonstrations with my own system. You may also bring your camera along if you have specific questions about it, but as this is a classroom-based workshop it is also not essential.
Participants can choose to attend one or both days of this workshop. I'm offering a discount registration price if you book before February 21st - $99 for one day and an even better rate of $178 for both days. I really am experienced with teaching student's vocal training. I can show you how to open up the resonance of your vocal sound,
finding your own sound, develop proper diction, improve vocal register, learning not to over sing, vocalized speech methods, and
can help you locate stress and blockage areas and remove the stress.
I basically teach a method based around vocalized s peach. I teach how to develop
the resonance in the mask which is a vocal term just meaning the face.
It's fascinating how you can find and feel the resonance in the teeth, the jaw, forehead, check bones,
lips and the back of your head, ect, and ect. All of these factors will determine ones voice production, singing in tune,
and tonal quality.
The face or (mask) is like an equalizer that you find on a stereo system.
A good analogy to explain this to you I feel is to explain how one can adjust the treble, bass or the
midrange on a stereo, well its much like the human voice.
I show with singing exercises how to find the placement of the student's resonant tones in the mask and the jaw, and then how
to develop a louder stronger richer tone. Pronunciation and using the diaphragm and other basics besides these advanced methods
I am very strict with.
I also teach the development of training the voice from establishing the falsetto and bridging the gap from your chest voice to your head voice.
This will increases the students range.
I also teach scat singing, coach tone production awareness, pitch exercises, and finally a valuable self discovery in finding your innate voice,
the voice that best suits you and lead you to realize it and not fight with it or ignore it.
I have had the honor to teach many students these methods of mine.
One student in particular was a female that had her degree of all 3 years in Opera singing at UFT University.
She came to me from a reference of another student.
