Precision Measuring Set 0-3” F/S (Fowler and Mitutoyo Micrometer’s)
I am selling my Set of used precision Micrometers
The Kit consists of a 0”-1”, 1”-2”, and 2”-3” range Outside Digit Micrometers.
These are an excellent addition to your toolbox if you need/want to confirm the tolerances of bearing surfaces, thickness of components etc.
Description:
-Outside Measuring Micrometers
-These are “Digit” type – (Mechanical counter) design that is much easier and quicker to read that the traditional full Vernier style micrometer’s.
-These are accurate to 0.0001” (Thousandth of an inch, once calibrated)
-0.001” precision off the counter with the final 0.0001” read off of the vernier scale on the micrometer sleeve.
Condition etc:
-These are all used, in good working condition. They are NOT perfect though; they do have signs of uses / wear with scuffs, nicks in the paint etc. (mostly cosmetic) from the previous owners.
-These have NOT been calibrated lately – so I cannot guarantee the accuracy, however I did use my calibrated Mitutoyo Caliper to check accuracy as best I could
-I do not have the original boxes or standards unfortunately. Standards cost about $10-15 each if you felt the urge to check the calibration at a later date.
-I will provide a generic foam-lined case to hold an protect all three
Micrometer 1:
-0-1” range
-Fowler PN 52-222-001
-Made in Japan (Probably by Mitutoyo)
-Click style clutch
-Feels and works really well - great condition
-The carbides tipped measuring faces are in very good condition,
-Appears to be in perfect calibration at 0”
Micrometer 2:
-1-2” range
-Mitutoyo PN 193-212
-Made in Japan
-Friction style clutch
-Movement is a little stiff at 1” less so elsewhere
-The carbides tipped measuring faces show some slight scuffing
-Shows more wear than the others
-Appears to be out of calibration by about 0.0005” at 2”
Micrometer 3:
-2-3” Range
-Mitutoyo PN 193-213
-Made in Japan
-Feels and works well - great condition
-The carbides tipped measuring faces are in very good condition,
-Appears to be in perfect calibration at 2”
New, these range from $100-$150 each I am asking $120 for the set of three
