Note the front end has been swapped so that it is now DUAL disk instead of single.

Great bike that had been sitting a while before I bought. Chain has been lubed, running carb cleaner in tank, battery is brand new. Bought new oil filter but did not install yet. Has original owner manual. No scratches, no broken tabs, no ripped seat, all gauges and switches work. In its day was one of the fastest street bikes with 5 speed transmission and 78HP until turbo version came out. Even has 4 way flashers

I am selling my moped because i have upgraded to a scooter. It is in excellent condition and comes with a large case on back that is removeable.
The bike is a year 2004, has approximately 5000 kms, and is in great condition. I paid extra for modifcation so it has twice the power and can go 75+km/hr. It's 50 cc engine is great on gas and very cheap on insurance. It is legal to park on sidewalks and ride in the bicycle lane.
Last year i rode this moped all winter when there was no snow on the ground. There was only a few days i didn't ride because it was too cold.
This bike is cheap to maintain.

This is a very well kept and original example. The bike runs and rides very well. Used it as a daily driver in the summer. It had a full Vetter kit when I got it. Have spent hundreds of dollars getting it to this point. Tires are less than one year old, front brakes were just done, carbs were set before the summer, new clubman handlebars, new air filter, new plugs, bar-end sport mirrors, seat looks new, rear shocks front indicators and headlamp assembly were all replaced with good used ones. Bike is currently registered and on the road. Should need nothing to certify. This bike is complete and in good running condition, not a project bike!

VFR is a very refined and unique motorcycle. Winning awards for many years, Cycle World magazine crowned it the �World's Best Street Bike�. Considered a �Sport Touring� bike, insurance rates are also favourable.

Some Highlights:
7. DCBS linked braking system. In this system, the front brake lever applies pressure to four of the six front pistons. The rotational movement of the left calliper when engaged actuates a secondary master cylinder and applies pressure to one of the rear pistons. The rear brake pedal is directly attached to the remaining pistons. two in the rear and two in the front.
8. Anti Lock Braking System.
9. Catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and an EFI system that enters closed-loop mode under highway (cruising) operation. This ensures lower noise and emissions.
10. Single-sided swing-arm rear suspension, pivoted from the aft of the crankcase, using the engine as a stressed member of the frame.

Tire is IRC 5.10H17, pretty good tread, no sidewall cracking. The rim has some rust that is through the chrome. It might be a candidate for stripping and paint perhaps? No damage that I can see. The bike was never dumped. It needs cleaning. Closeups of the tread and the sprocket are shown. You should count on replacing the brake pads before using this. Includes chain adjusters.

Lookin' for $3200 or best offer. Bike has yoshimura exhaust, brand new chain, brand new rear sprocket, brand new front wheel bearings, integrated tail lights, front mini indicators as well as bucket lights to go with the raised handlebars. The speedometer is aftermarket and registers the 70 km/hr range as 130 km/hr but below and above that it registers properly. I have the instructions somewhere if you want to recalibrate it. The bike shouldn't require anything further for certification ... plate might be a little too far under the tail piece, but that's minor. Other than that, this bike is rockin'. People are intrigued, if not curious, by the badgeless, fighter look. It's not for everyone and perhaps you'll change it. I have the original exhaust if you're interested ... I'm not going to need it.

Bike has minor scratch on exhaust 'cause it did fall over. It's never been stunted, or been in an accident. There are no safety concerns as I'm not about to sell someone a death trap. If something malfunctioned the results could be catastrophic. That's why the wheel bearings have been replaced October 25, 2009.

Oh yeah, there are 25,000 kms on it ... forgot to mention that in the original posting.
