King's College School (www.kingscollegeschool.ca) is an innovative, family-oriented, entrepreneurial school empowering our students to become people who will make a magnificent difference in our world.   Our brand is well-respected locally, we're entering a growth phase, and we're looking to increase our profile, both locally, nationally, and internationally.  We're looking for a communications and social media specialist to help us enhance our web presence.  This is an excellent opportunity for near-grads, recent grads, or return-to-workplace professionals interested in applying their skills in writing, communications, and engagement via social media.  As the successful candidate, you'll get involved and make a real difference in an emerging business, while at the same time gaining valuable experience. <br>

The details:<br>
The candidate will develop and manage our online presence to engage our target audience and better reflect our brand.  The candidate will produce content (pitch ideas, conduct interviews & research, write articles), enhance and manage our social media outlets (including Facebook, Twitter, and our blog), audit/develop our website so that it is in line with our goals, become an expert and educator on all the approaches to online promotion that would make sense for our size and type of business, contacts database, resource guides and market database/stats,and internet searches.<br>
<br>
4 months -- start ASAP, commit until May 2012.  Time commitment of 15-20 hours per week, unpaid.  Daily lunches and gas money provided.  Weekdays.  Flexible hours and telecommuting are offered to accommodate a successful candidate's schedule.  Honorarium available upon the successful completion of project.<br>

The successful candidate profile includes the following:<br>
·         Must be a self-starter with a professional demeanour and a desire to learn<br>
·         A passion for writing with excellent written communication skills<br>
·         Social media experience, with knowledge of marketing and internet trends<br>
·         Highly creative with an ability to engage and influence people from different backgrounds<br>
·         Able to work without close supervision:  detail-oriented, organized<br>

The successful candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial information technology and/or retail contracting to assist with agreements relating to IT consulting and professional services, hardware, software and outsourcing engagements. <br>
<br>
Responsibilities <br>
• Collaborate with all business units to ensure requirements are captured and represented in the contractual documentation. <br>
• Negotiate IT supplier agreements in accordance with business and legal requirements <br>
• Research and analyze contractual documentation for all relevant information such as contract type, contract amendments and contractual obligation. <br>
• Draft contractual verbiage <br>
• Work collaboratively with Legal department to complete negotiation <br>
• Manages and monitors contracts for compliance <br>
• Collaborate with areas of IT to ensure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are leveraged. <br>
• Ensure that each vendor meets the company criteria, according to established guidelines (documentation, quality, business practices, ethics, etc.). <br>
• Asses and mitigate risk. <br>
• Liaise with IT Finance group on all financial aspects of contracting<br>
<br>
• Strong Negotiation skills <br>
• Excellent analytical and legal drafting skills <br>
• Strong understanding of contract governance <br>
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a large number of diverse internal groups working as a team player <br>
• Ability to find creative solutions to contractual issues to reach resolution, taking a pragmatic, commercial approach to balancing legal risks against business interests <br>
• A demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment <br>
• Strong risk assessment and financial skills <br>
• Minimum 7 years of information technology and/or retail background preferred<br>
