We have a Facebook page for team communications, uniforms (Dutch orange) with personalized names & numbers, and a friendly, respectful, yet still competitive, attitude.
The fee to join us is only $45 for 9 more games (only $5 a game!), since we have subsidized it with past female players. The only other expense would be approximately $30-35 for the uniform (matching shirt and shorts) should you wish to become a permanent member of our team. In the meantime, we can lend a generic jersey.
Our next games are a double header starting at 8pm this Friday (Feb 10th). This is your chance to get a feel for the team and decide if it's the right fit for the rest of the season.

We will focus on trails in the East Toronto and West Durham region. I am quite familiar with trails in the Rouge, Seaton and Altona Forests, but I am open to suggestions. While all levels of hiker and walker are welcome, I will always try to post available information on level of difficulty.

LEVEL 2 UMPIRE CLINIC - MISSISSAUGA

Location: Clubhouse at Tom Chater Memorial Park, Mississauga
Format: Fast Pitch OR Slo Pitch (For Level 2, you must choose one or the other)
Cost for members (carded umpires): $95
Cost for non-members: $115
For anyone who has not yet taken the Level 1 clinic, this is the one you should take, regardless of your level of experience on the diamond. If you have already taken the Level 1 clinic, the Level 2 is the next step for you. The material covered will be more advanced. You should have a fair bit of experience on the diamond. If you have taken either of these clinics before, but would like to take one again as a refresher, you are welcome to do so.
Anyone who is a Certified Level 2 umpire, and is interested in taking the Level 3 clinic, please let me know, and I will forward your info to the appropriate people.
Also, any teenage umpires who are fairly new or just starting, you would benefit from taking a Junior Development or Intermediate clinic. Let me know if you would be interested, and I will help you get set up for that.
NOTE: Softball Ontario expects you to take a clinic every second year to keep your Umpire Certification Level in good standing. Please remember that this is separate from getting registered/carded with Softball Ontario, which needs to be done each year.

Tom Chater Memorial Park is located at 3195 The Collegeway, just west of Winston Churchill, on the north side of the street. It is in the southwest part of Mississauga. There is limited space and participants will be accepted on a "first paid, first served" basis. So please contact me ASAP, and I will forward you the necessary info along with a clinic registration form.
On the day of the clinics, you are expected to arrive between 8:30am-8:40am to sign in and get set up. The clinics will start promptly at 9:00am sharp!
Please get back to me ASAP and let me know if you are interested in participating in one of these clinics. The sooner the better folks, as I need to ensure that we have the minimum numbers required in order to make the clinics happen.

It might be a good idea to share such information or experiences so that we minimize our mistakes.
One way to do that is to not do it in isolation but share experiences.
This means we want those who are investors or want to invest but don't have the expertise or experience or have limited experience to do so.
So the intention is to be informed about it through what others have experienced. But no advice is given out to anyone. In other words no paid advice or advisers are their to 'educate' us or sell us. Simply sharing experiences, and personal knowledge for self help among those who trade stock for income and are novices. While we appreciate that there are some very good experts\dealers out their we got to do our own thinking.
The intention is to educate ourselves and avoid mistakes. Get wiser. There is strength in numbers. What is known as synergy. Where two heads are better than one. Then go forward as to what to do. You form your own opinion.
The objective is to become more knowledgeable than being novices.

Format of the game is 5-5 or 6-6. There are 1-2 subs that constantly rotate, but you play pretty much the whole time.
